    The correct answers are fighting continued until the moment the armistice was signed and Germany was forced to agree to all of the strict terms of the armistice.

    The war officially ended with the Treaty of Versailles which happened 6 months after the armistice. Fighting lasted all the way until the armistice was signed after which all hostilities ended. Kaiser Wilhelm abdicated and went into exile and didn't rule after the war.
