How was the Taiping Rebellion different from the Boxer Uprising?

    1 difference was that the Taiping Rebellion aimed at the overthrow of the Qing dynasty the Chinese empire was against it. Where as the Boxer Rebellion wanted to expel foreigners and any foreign influence it was supported by the Qing government.

    2nd is the Taiping Rebellion killed 20 million people and lasted around 14 years. The Boxer Rebellion only lasted 2 years and half a million people perished.

    And 3rd the Qing government was strengthened with the defeat of the Taiping Rebellion. Where as the Boxer Rebellion weakened the Qing government severely.
