How did the Russo-Japanese War of 1904 affect Japan's attempt to extend its imperialism?

    It was important because it showed that Japan was not a force to mess with. They showed that they can win against great European forces which also meant that if they wanted to spread their imperialist politics that there wouldn't be anyone to stop them, so affected them by giving them the incentive to do it.
