An example of selective breeding can be in North America with Turkeys.

Wild turkeys were much bigger than their domesticated counterparts, however, the domesticated turkeys being smaller and more docile is directly caused by selective breeding. They bred the turkeys that suited their needs and it led to them becoming different from the wild ones over time.
