What were copernicus's ideas about the order of the universe deemed to be dangerous to church thinking

    Copernicus argued a heliocentric system, meaning that the planets moved around the sun. Prior the church believed that everything revolves around the earth (and therefore the heavens) they were upset that the world didn’t essentially revolve around their God.
