Both but more to the South.

How the North killed the reconstruction.

    - The North gave up on the South

    - The North stopped trying

    - They become too involved with their own problems

How the South killed the reconstruction.

    - The South rebelled against the North

    - The South refused to accept any changes made.

    - Any steps are taken to move forward with reconstruction the South would be rejected.

The South is more to blame.

-No matter what the North tried, the South would refuse to make any changes.-They killed many innocent lives.-They put in more effort in fighting and resisting reconstruction.
