    It didn't really do much for women. Although it protected people from any sort of discrimination based on religion, race, ethnic origin, or similar things, it completely neglected the idea of discrimination based on gender and most of the early discrimination lawsuits based on gender were ignored. When legislature was eventually made about it, it wasn't even completely enforced.
