What did the ancient Chinese and Romans knew about each other

During the ancient times, it is evident that the Chinese and Romans knew each other. For instance, the Chinese knew the Kushans as the Yueh-chi, because these people were displaced from their original habitats due to harassment by some other communities. They went and settled to another place and this could have created an unknown relationship between Chinese and Romans.
