How might deforestation in Sub-Sahara Africa lead to poverty among the people in the area? A) Land is needed to support the growing agriculture industy, yet timber meets a bigger economic need and Africa then imports the needed food. B) More land is needed to support housing and manufacturing, and therefore the lumber industry has to meet this growing need by cutting down more trees. C) Land is not needed to be cleared to support the population, but wood and wood products are needed in neighboring areas, and massive timber cuts are done to meet the needs. D) More land needs to be cleared to support the growing populations, which lacks the sophisticated means of producing enough agricultural resources or jobs to feed the population.
