Which was a drawback of the Weimar Republic? The President was dictatorial and people did not enjoy any freedom. Women were not allowed to vote in German elections. The Weimar government did not have a constitution. State governments had autonomy over domestic issues.

    A drawback of the Weimar Republic is that The Weimar Government did not have a constitution. After the First World War, the Weimar Republic attempted to create a perfect democracy in the country. Having no constitution became a drawback because there is no law to guide the people and they are all free to do what they want. No restrictions, No limitations.
