What led investigators to conclude that the burglars who broke in to democratic national committee headquarters at the watergate building in 1972 were connected to president richard nixon's administration?

    The correct answer is James McCord of the CIA was a member of the committee for the Re-election of the President.

    When the men were arrested and it all started unraveling it was connected who was who and who worked where and who supported whom and it all led to Nixon and the CIA and the attorney generals of the state. There were a lot of people involved in the scandal and many of them were arrested while Nixon got pardoned.
