Do you think the student revolts of this period contributed positively or negatively to society? Why?

    Positive--resulted in the lowering of the voting age to 18, contributed to the end of the Vietnam War, contributed to furthering the civil rights movements of the time.

    Negative--they were violent and led to the deaths of many in riots and shootings, their means were not taken seriously by adults and conservatives of the time,

    This really depends upon which side you are on. For the more conservative groups, the student movements and revolts are often classified as liberal move to undermine the current administration. They have also been classified as fake news media hoaxes.

    For the more liberal groups, they are a stirring and wake up to the issues that we aren't paying attention to. The students are the new leaders of the next wave of civil rights changes.
