    The glorious revolution of 1688 in Britain has given more power to the house of commons in parliament and to the power of the Executive Branch of government has been increasing.

    During this period the power of Monarch has been restrained and the power of Parliament began to take the upper hand. In 1911 and 1949 the power of the House of Lords was reduced.
