    The Magellan expedition was the first voyage around the world in the human history. It took place in 1915 under the command of Ferdinand Magellan, a Spanish man, whose major purpose for undertaking the journey is to search for fortune and fame. Magellan discovered what is now known as Magellan strait and he was the first man to cross the Pacific Ocean.
