Dictators lead with an iron fist and are not to be questioned. This is because they want absolute power, and because too many questions can cause a rebellion. censorship fixes this because it keeps peoples own opinions in the dark. Or in other words kind of shields the public from ever being able to have an opinion because they are restricted from ever seeing something that could lead to them having their own view. You also could see how this allows dictators the use of propaganda, and shaping public views.
