How did the depression and the treaty of versailles lead to the rise of adolf hitler?

    Though the Treaty of Versailles was meant to bring about peace to the whole world, the early onset of the Great Depression in Germany due to the many provisions written in the Treaty had caused widespread resentment among the German people. Adolf Hitler used this as a foothold to gain support by saying that outsiders were finding ways to weaken Germany and his campaign was wholly successful as evidenced by what transpired later on.
