    This is the third apparition

    This is the apparition that stated the impossible prophecy that would lead to Macbeth's defeat. Macbeth at first thought himself to be safe but it turned out that the prophecy was a metaphorical one and this brought his end. The trees did come after him but it was actually people masked to look like trees.
