Buddhism, with its origins in India, shares many similarities with what other major religion?

It shares more similarity with Hinduism, though scholars have suggested several similarity with Christianity, because of their doctrine of trinity, reincarnation and hell. However, striking similarity are with other sister Indian religion especially Hinduism.
