What was the purpose of military alliances at the end of the 1800s? to fight wars to get back lost land to get rid of people to secede from a country

    The purpose of the military alliances at the end of 1800s was to fight wars. This alliance was also called as the treaty of alliance between France and Unites States of America formed during the American Revolutionary war. The purpose was to support each other in case there will be a break out war.
