    In the United States, the reuctions in economic regulation allowed individual carriers flexibility in pricing and service. The flexibility is very important to logistics for several reasons and it first provided companies with the ability to implement the tailored logistics approach in the sense that companies could specify different logistics services levels and prices could be adjusted accordingly.
