In the early and mid-1800s, how did the economies of the Northern and Southern states compare?

    The souths economy is a farming based economy, not many factories, little industrialization. Unlike the North, due to the climate, did not have many farms. Economy was based on factories, machinery. New technologies. Large industrilization.
