    Letter A can't be correct, as no war criminals are prosecuted in the League of Nations.

    Letter C is not correct, as their were communists nations that were part of the United Nations.

    Letter D is not correct, as there were more than just European and American nations involved in the United Nations.

    That's why B is correct. The League of Nations was founded on the idea of international peace. The United Nations agreed upon the goal of international peace as their main focus when developing their covenant. The United Nations had a very similar goal as well.
