1984 is an example of dystopian fiction, a classification of fictional writing. It portrays and illustrates the world contrastively or in an opposite way. Just like what is stated in the writing; civil rights and freedom of speech and all the things incorporated with a good and just government are not allowed. The 1984 novel obtaining Utopia - opposing the ideal world and this world that George Orwell created in fear of what would happen with a totalitarian government demonstrates this.
