The Geats regard their dead king as a hero, to them nothing changed and for life a king stays famous to them.

Geats were the tribe of Beowulf in the epic poem where Beowulf defeated the monster but succumbed to his injuries. Geats were believed to have lived in the south of Sweden. According to the poem they were conquered and disappeared in the history.
