What was the name of the series of bloody wars that took place in the New England colonies between the Puritans and American Indians once the English population increased?

    King Philips War and the Pequot wars

    These two wars were between the Puritans from the Massachusetts bay area colony and their allies, against he Native Americans who had been living in the area. They lasted for a couple of years throughout the 17th century and mostly the colonies won.
