What part did the intolerable acts play in bringing about the American revolution

    The intolerable acts took away the self-government the 13 colonies had going for them. The 13 colonies became angry at it and started the sparks that started the Revolution. In response to them 4 acts were made the Boston tea party being one of them. This is what led to war between Britain and the 13 colonies.
