    Walesa was hugely important for the development of the civil rights in Poland as he is the founder of Solidarity, the first labor union in Poland. He was a chairmen and a spokesman for the organization. He later went to become the president of Poland as well as win a Nobel Prize for peace in 1983. He worked hard in order to develop Poland.

    Lech Walesa started a labor union in Poland in 1980. He started it with some of his friends. He named it Solidarity. It is also known as Polish trade union. He gave rise to a wave of strikes over the country. In recognition of his role in the Poland's non-violent revolution, Walesa was awarded the Nobel peace prize.
