Why did chang kai shek believe the communists were more dangerous than the Japanese

    He believed that because the communists were closer to home they could influence the chinese to where they did not resist to communist rule because fellow communists were chinese. The japanese would always been seen as outsiders and no matter what they would have to conqour the chinese people by force.
