After the brown v. board of education of topeka ruling, what do you think was the most significant event of the civil rights movement prior to 1960? why?

    I’d assume it be Rosa Parks refusal to give her seat away. This happened in 1955 and sparked the Boycott of the Montgomery Bus System and I’d say initially was the start of the movement. It showed the government how far they were willing to go in order to receive the rights they deserved and something very real came out of it. It lasted 381 days until the Supreme Court ruled segregated seating as unconstitutional. That or the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
