How did the relations of the united states with foreign nations lead to a rise in nationalism?

    During WW2, and the end of domestic isolationism, the United States exerted her power militarily causing a great amount of pride in being an american. Post war, as it absolutely dominated international trade, the American people became more and more proud of being born in such a wonderful country.
