    The outcome of the Supreme Court case Marbury v. Madison defined the constitutionality of the Judiciary Act of 1789.

    According to this Act, federal judiciary was created in America, which means that the entire judicial powers rest with the Supreme Court, as well as other inferior Courts. Marbury v. Madison was a landmark case when it comes to judicial review in the US.
