Which organization did President Wilson believe was key to stopping future wars?

Wilson believed the League of Nations would be key to ending future wars. Wilson was active in the treaty process ending World War I, however Great Britain and France were bitter from the impact of the war. they wanted to punish Germany and were not willing to accept most of Wilson's ideas for peace. The League of Nations was accepted and the goal was an international congress to address aggressive nations and to moderate negotiations to avoid war. Though the League was created the US refused to join in the 1920s as isolation became more favorable with American citizens.
