Operation Desert Storm was the first war in Iraq that resulted from Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait.

First, there was Operation Desert Shield, when America gathered its soldiers there. Then, in 1991, Operation Desert Storm began, which was an airland conflict fought for four months in 1991, during which time many people were killed.
