This had a huge impact on the region and even on the development of human civilization: the people in Mesopotamia were able to grow crops, and thus stay put and feed themselves without needing to travel about. Agriculture was a key factor in the great civilizations that emerged from the region.

    The answer is C: it was easier to grow crops there
