The primary sources of Neolithic period would be mostly made up of artifacts. The stone Age period in the development of human beings is divided into four stages namely; Palaeolithic, mesolithic, and neolithic. Neolithic was the last stage of stone age and was characterized by architecture, wide spread of agriculture and use of polished stone tools.

Neolithic Period, also known as New Stone Age Period, has bountiful sources and tools made up of stone. Neolithic Period happened around 8000 BCE to 4000 BCE. This period also signifies the start of spreading of architectural practices, the megalithic architecture, and the usage of the polished stones as additional tools of early humans.
