Egyptians of the early times believed that if they have made the gods happy, the Nile River will continue its cycle of flooding. If the flood stops, they would believe that the gods are not happy with the people of Egypt. However, the flood continued for about 3,000 years. It made the Egyptian society be sufficient with food and their ways of life.
