    The three congressional powers are:

    Expressed powers, which are directly written in constitution

    Implied powers, which are not directly written in constituion but lies within the scope of influence and

    Inherited Powers, which is held by all governments.

    These powers is placed in the hand of the Congress in order to create a balance of power between the Congress and the house.
