The three R's, relief, recovery, and reform.

The New Deal wanted to grant relief from The Great Depression, this was performed by extracting America from Gold Standard.

Recovery was to put people back at work and make sure everybody had new found confidence. Programs like the Works Progress Administration and the Civilian Conservation Corps.

The last R, reform, was to deter this from happening again. There was now benefits for disabled or elderly people and disclosure of knowledge of goods before they were submitted for sale.
