The Etruscan taught the Romans much of what they knew, they taught them war, artistic, and musical techniques. Roman culture was heavily influenced by the Etruscan and in turn the Romans improved on the Etruscan techniques, and used those techniques to in turn destroy the Etruscan society. The Etruscan society parented Rome through its child phase, then the child Rome revolted against its parent.
