How did the Marshall Court interpret the Constitution in its rulings?

    it gave the federal government more power over the states.

    Marshall court refers to the court of justice which was led by John Marshall within the period of 1801-1835.

    He held the believe that there is a clear stratification of power between the states and the federal government since it's written in the constitution that if any opposing regulations exist between the federal government and the states, the federal government shall always override the states.
