Which most likely explains why some countries lack opposition parties? They lack popular support. They destroy the election process. They oppose the interests of the people. They are prohibited by law.

    They are prohibited by law.

    Most countries especially those that have autocratic regimes have a one party state. An example is china. The laws of these countries prohibit against opposition party, either through the law, de jure or de facto.
