    D - The arrival of the Europeans where in 1500s Cristopher Columbus conquered; South America, The Caribbean and claimed the discovery of the "East". Columbus killed millions of Native Americans, and South America became colonized by Spain while the American Indians were forced out of their lands. In the early 1500s, Its estimated that over 350,000 to a million American Indians lived in Florida and shared common characteristics, i. e., societal organization, spiritual beliefs, participation in trade and spoke different languages. They were severely impacted by colonialism whereby 1700 some cultures had perished while others emerged.
