Queen Anne's War, which happened from 1702-1713, happened between the Spanish and the British colonies. It was the second in a series of wars in the area, the first the French and Indian Wars, and followed by a fight between Great Britain and North America over who controlled the continent. Queen Anne's War did make it treacherous to explore the french gulf coast, but once peace arrived in 1713 French explorers were able to create permanent settlements in both Mobile an New Orleans. Therefore, this statement is True.
