How many years must elected officials wait before becoming lobbyists in texas?

Senate Bill 14 that was passed in the beginning of 2017 requires retired elected officials wait out one full legislative session before becoming lobbyists. This is typically two years. This was put into effect to hold elected officials to a high standard and hopefully strengthen ethic laws.
