    At the time, the United States had many fears as the war loomed on and took over the globe. The United States government decided to accept a smaller number of Jewish immigrants than it could have handled because there was a fear of enemy agents sneaking in, there were antisemitism problems in the US, there was still a bit of depression, and a lack of jobs for that many people.
