How did khrushchev respond to kennedy's refusal to remove western powers from berlin?

    He built the Berlin wall

    When Kennedy stated that they would not leave Berlin as they were asked to, Khrushchev organized people in East Berlin to get numerous companies to work on the wall and build it around East Berlin and prevent people form going from East to West since the west was seen as bad for the Soviet Union and its plans.
