Bipolarism is a foreign policy political concepts that denotes a world system where world economic and military power is held between two states. during the cold war, the world was bipolarised in that the power was held by the soviet union and the USA. the two states were involved in proxy wars in various states such as Afghanistan in 1979, and Vietnam in the 1960's. The wars always ended up being perpetual and a longstanding stalemate.
