Darwinism--Herbert Spencer took Charles Darwin's theory of evolution and applied it to society calling it Social Darwinism.

Social Darwinism is the idea that there are people naturally fit for society and will change and adapt as society evolves. While others will not adapt and will become the collateral damage of the evolution. This theory has been used to support free market capitalism and a lack of government support for the poor.
