Based on the passage, what conclusion can you draw about the advancement of ancient Egyptian civilization? Before the start of trade practices, Egypt was a poor and underdeveloped country. Without the Nile River, ancient Egyptian civilization could not have developed so quickly. Once Egyptians started using the Nile for transportation, they stopped all agricultural activities. The Egyptians could not build roads, and therefore they had to depend on the Nile River for transportation. NextReset

Even before the Old Kingdom period, the foundations of Egyptian civilization were being laid for thousands of years as people living near the Nile increasingly focused
