I believe 2/3 of the population was wiped out so only 1/3 remained after WW2

It is very hard to get an exact number, and if your trying to get information from a text book im afraid my information will be flawed. But based on my research I would say before ww2 there was 9.5 million Jews in Europe. After ww2 there was substantial losses, I would evaluate the number of Jews to be about 20 percent that survived while 80 percent was killed.
